Leading California Sire)
Stallion seasons and shares
Each year I purchase or sell
many stallion seasons for my clients in all price ranges in both
California and Kentucky. Breeders should check with a knowledgeable
agent regarding current market conditions to ensure they pay fair prices
for their seasons.
Insurance
I am a licensed insurance
agent specializing in equine mortality and related policies. Whether
you've never insured a horse or would like a competitive quote for an
existing policy, I'm happy to help with all your insurance needs.
Auction Consignments
Since 1986 I have consigned over 2,600 horses at
public auctions in California and Kentucky. In 2011 I began a new
partnership with Columbiana Farm to sell client horses at Kentucky
auctions. We believe in having smaller consignments that enable us to be
personally involved with the promotion of all our horses. Since then we
have sold the following stakes horses:
- BY YOUR SIDE. $240,000 yearling by
Constitution.
G3 winner, $137,348, at Saratoga.
- BIG TROUBLE. $230,000 yearling by Tiz
Wonderful.
Undefeated G3 winner at Saratoga, $235,000
- COOL COWBOY. $110,000 yearling by
Kodiak Kowboy.
Stakes winner, G2-placed, $736,781.
- HOT SPRINGS. $750,000 yearling by
Uncle Mo.

Appraisals
Equine values are very
subjective, with auction sales providing the only true measure of
current market value. But there are times when you need to know what
your horse is worth without selling it at auction. That is when
you can benefit from having an honest, thoughtful appraisal done by an
industry professional who understands current market conditions.
Consultation
Every successful business
needs a plan to work by, and racehorse owners and breeders are no
exception. I am here to discuss your goals and the best avenues
available to reach them. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone to
share ideas with and get a different perspective.
If you value knowledge,
integrity, and hard work in your own business, then you should have a
bloodstock agent who shares those beliefs. After 40 years as a
full-service bloodstock agent, I am proud of my reputation among my
clients and industry peers and would be happy to provide a list of
references for your examination. Many of my clients have been working
with me for years and would be pleased to speak with you. |
